I had such fun! It was so beautiful and sunny in California, it made you want to get outside every day and exercise! And that's what I did and that's when I realized, I had to quit smoking for good! I quit for over 23 yrs once, but started again about 5 yrs ago. I've quit off and on during this last year, but I realized while riding my bike from Redondo to Venice Beach (since I could hardly breath) that I absolutely had to stop now. And that's what I did! I haven't had a cigarette now in over 3 weeks! Came home to a deep freeze! Supposed to get 6 to 11 more inches of snow tonight and tomorrow.
Seeing the sights was great, but the best reason to return to LA is love!!!

Congratulations on quitting! I smoked for 35 years, and when I quit at 48 I was to the point of sleeping sitting up in the living room recliner because I had bronchitis so bad. That was 13 years ago ... and I still get the craving when I see someone smoke (though not when I'm in a smoking establishment! Yuck on the smell). I'm still apologizing to my daughter for subjecting her all those years. It took me a year to quit, but it can be done!
Great news! Being able to get yourself from point A to point B without gasping for air is good incentive to quit. Will you be riding your bicycle, too, when the weather warms up?
It took me three times to finally quit smoking but I finally succeeded twenty three years ago. Good luck and feel free to shoot me an e-mail for support if you feel your resolve weakening.
