Good morning heartache, you old gloomy sight
Good morning heartache
Thought we said goodbye last night
I turned and tossed until it seems you had gone
But here you are with the dawn
Wish I’d forget you, but you're here to stay
It seems I met you, when my love went away
Now everyday I start by saying to you
Good morning heartache… what's new
Stop haunting me now, can't shake you no how
Just leave me alone
I've got those Monday blues
Straight through Sunday blues
Good morning heartache, here we go again
Good morning heartache
You're the one who knew me when
Might as well get used to you hangin’ around
Good morning heartache, sit down
Congratulations

8 ♥ Leave Me A Love Note:
That is one of my all-time favorite songs, and no one can touch it like Billie Holiday. I have it on my idod and playlist. Doesn't it describe 'it' to a tee?
I know you said you'd been blue of late, and I'm sure you're not alone. Hard to tell sometimes if it's SAD or clinical depression. My mother-in-law suffered terribly from it, seasonal affected disorder. On cloudy days, and especially cloudy rainy days, I will have every light in the house on, and a dozen candles lit, trying to keep from sinking all the way.
Hope you can dig your way out soon!
It's amazing how timeless Billie Holiday is. I'm so sorry you are feeling blue. Been there, done that.
Here's something that's meant to cheer you up. The video does not match the audio at all so just pretend you're listening to the radio.

Here's hoping that you're feeling better soon.
I don't remember being this depressed in years past. I think I was so busy with the kids etc. that I either didn't realize it or it simply never happened. I haven't worked for a couple of years, so this week I dusted off my teaching certificate and am applying to substitute. I'm taking more oil painting lessons and am forcing myself out of the house.
Dutchbaby, loved the video! My daughter gave me a David Sedaris book last Christmas! Good choice! That made me laugh!
Peoria has many people depressed these days MAWB. Don't blame it on your mental state, consider this - living in Peoria is hazardous to ones mental well being.
Hey there,
Wish I could help lift the depression. Remember, CA is still here and when it's not raining, it's sunny. How about another trip?
Hang in there!
Take an inventory of everything you're doing these days, and see how many of them you can honestly designate as MEANINGFUL.
Getting out of the house and doing things is a good strategy. You might want to slip on those happy red shoes when you're out and about, too. Well, maybe not while substituting, you'll want shoes you can move quickly in for that!
oh, these are very appropriate words this time of year. Winter blues, indeed.
